The North Carolina Division of Community Assistance, http://www.ncdca.org/, seeks a Community Development Planner for its Winston-Salem Regional Office. This position will allow a planner to develop professional skills by working with community leaders in a flexible work environment. He or she will have an opportunity to work on a variety of projects in the following areas: 

Strategic planning for economic and community development 
Historic Preservation 
Growth management planning and ordinances (zoning, subdivision, land use) 
Group facilitation, goal-setting, policy development and consensus-building programs 
Training for local government boards 
Downtown revitalization, community appearance studies 
Tourism development 
Mapping and GIS analysis 

The Winston-Salem Regional Office provides services to local governments within a nineteen-county area that coincides with the Piedmont Triad Region.
