The McDonalds in Lake Forest, IL (along Waukegan Road) utilizes a barn-like
construction and non-traditional coloring. (I've got photos). The effect is
decidedly unlike the restaurant's typical design.

Subject: [ApaIllinois] ILAPA Forum Question: Aesthetically pleasing fast
food restaurants

Does anyone have any examples (or links to photos) of
"aesthetically-pleasing" architectural design of restaurants, specifically
fast-food? We are wondering if anyone knows of specific examples staff
could visit, preferably in the greater Chicagoland area, or maybe a photo
website. Since these standards may vary quite a bit from town to town, I
will add that the Village of Sugar Grove is looking primarily at brick
construction, consistent with other commercial
buildings now being constructed in the Village.
