[ApaIllinois] Request for Co-Presenter(s) at Upper Midwest 4-State Conference in Iowa

Lake County Department of Planning, Building and Development is 
 seeking partners to submit a conference session proposal for the 
 Upper Midwest Conference (10/31 to 11/2, Dubuque, IA) on the subject 
 of "Streamlining Development Review". We would like to focus on 2 
 approaches to streamlining: 
 
 (1) Technological approaches (i.e. permit-processing software, GIS 
 integration, document management, and other computer-based 
 technologies that assist in rapid retrieval of information and 
 coordination); and
 
 (2) Process approaches (i.e. eliminating redundant steps, introducing 
 performance measures to increase processing efficiency, development 
 of the "project manager" concept, and other similar process-oriented 
 techniques).
 
 Any Illinois communities (County or Village) interested in co-
 presenting on this topic should contact me this week. We plan to 
 submit our proposal (in concept) by June 1.
