            County (CAC) to assist them with feasibility activities related to a 
            possible arts center in downtown Kankakee. The CAC has an 
            opportunity to take ownership of two adjacent historic buildings as

          2008 APA-IL State Conference 
          is October 29-31st and will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, in 
          Champaign, IL! Early registration 
          deadline is Sept. 15th! The preliminary program will be released on

          It is time for the 
          Bi-annual Chapter Elections! Any member that wants his or her name  on the election ballot 
          must complete a 
          Nominating Petition and submit it to our Administrator, 
          Mark Koplin, AICP 
          by September 15, 2008. The Petition must include at least 100 Chapter 
          member signatures. During this election, we will also be asking you to 
          approve the updated
          Chapter By-Laws. Ballots, along with bios and position statements, will be mailed in 
          late September/early October. The results will be announced by mid-December and
