  2009 APA-IL Award Recipients Announced!!

Last week the jury for
the 2009 APA-IL 2009 Awards Program announced this year's award
recipients.  In total 12 awards were given in 7 different categories
including categories new to this year's program such as the "Daniel
Burnham Award for the Comprehensive Plan", "Sustainability" and
"Student Project".  Congratulations to this year's winners!  See
attached.  

Awards will be presented to the individual
communities throughout this fall and winter.  However, information
about the award winning projects will be given at the 2009 Upper
Midwest Conference to be held September 24-26, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Chicago.  In fact, four of the winning nominations are already scheduled to be a Mobile Session at the conference.  These include:

The City of Elmhurst Comprehensive Plan
The Last Four Miles, Completing Chicago's Lakefront Parks
Reconnecting Neighborhoods Series
Kishwaukee Street Corridor Revitalization Plan
