Dempster Street Mobile Workshop -- Update
Dempster Street on the Purple Line: Retooling for the 21st Century
Wednesday, October 5th, 9:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. 
 
The Dempster Street mobile workshop is now FREE. Also, a new speaker has been added: Stephen Hands, Strategic Planning and Policy, of CTA has joined Craig Sklenar, General Planner, of the City of Evanston. 

Evanston’s vibrant Dempster Street Business District has long been served by - yet divided by - the viaducts of the CTA Purple Line and the Metra Union Pacific North. On this interactive workshop, you’ll learn about the challenges and opportunities presented concerning the Red Line/Purple Line Modernization effort and discuss how planners and designers can accommodate fixed physical needs of transit providers while finding opportunities to better connect a district that will lead to true Transit Oriented Development.
