With a vibrant farmer's market, a thriving restaurant scene, local farmers thinking outside the agricultural box, an expanding food cooperative, and a prime location, Urbana-Champaign has found itself a center of vigorous local food activity. Join us on a tour of local food production, processing, distribution, access and consumption - including cheese and gelato tasting and lunch at a restaurant that uses locally-sourced ingredients.
The Triple Bottom Line of Trails: The Kickapoo Rail Trail's Impact on People, Planet, & Profit

Trails return benefits to Illinois on a Triple Bottom Line – economic activity, environmental stewardship, and quality of life. Participants will follow an abandoned rail corridor through agricultural landscapes and take a short hike in Kickapoo State Park, ending at a picturesque trestle bridge across the Vermillion River Valley.
