Housing Landscape for Older Adults
Join us on Monday, July 16 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern (10:00 a.m. Pacific) for a webinar presentation on meeting the housing needs of older Americans.
By 2050, the 65+ population in the nation is set to double in size. This webinar will focus on the implications of these changing demographics on housing policy. What does the housing community need to understand about the growing ranks of older adults? What housing challenges do older adults face today, and what innovative policies and programs can improve their access to suitable and affordable housing?
Speakers will discuss findings from the report Housing an Aging Population: Are We Prepared?, feature examples of retrofitting spaces in suburban communities to provide accessible places with senior housing, and discuss a program for aging-in-place that reduces costly hospitalizations while improving quality of life.
