Please click here to view all the exciting sessions and events that have been planned for this year’s conference. The 2012 APA-IL State Conference is less than 9 days away! Response has been tremendous and we are looking forward to hosting you in Champaign-Urbana. It is not too late to register!

Philip Myrick, our keynote speaker from Project for Public Spaces, who will talk about how his company’s core Placemaking strategies that combine program, design and management, as well as “lighter, quicker, cheaper” catalytic actions.

Janice Morrissy, from Chicago Southland Housing & Community Development Collaborative , whose panel will talk about Regional and Local Responses to the Foreclosure Crisis

Ann Schneider, Secretary of the Illinois Department of Transportation and Bill Houlihan from Senator Durbin’s Office, who will speak about the New Federal Transportation Bill and what it means for Illinois,

Martin Bailkey from Growing Power, Kansas Waugh from Alta Bicycle Share in Portland, OR Doug Farr from Farr Associates, Bonnie McDonald from Landmarks Illinois, Rich Harnish from Midwest High Speed Rail, and many many other experts and special guests

Don’t Forget to Join us on Wednesday for our Small Table Lunch 

An on-site lunch featuring small table discussion topics, including transportation and mobility; historic preservation; smart growth and sustainability; downtown redevelopment; Illinois issues; local food and urban agriculture; wind power and alternative energy; and technology in planning. Enjoy some fellowship and get to know what others are thinking and doing about these issues.

Please note that the Opening Reception will be held on Wednesday, September 19th (and not September 15th, as reported in the last e-Blast)

Please remember that Online Registration will close 
September 14th at 11:59PM! All registrations after that point will need to register in person at the conference. Registration will be open at the conference each morning however, we prefer to have early numbers to help with food orders and planning.
