In cooperation with the American Planning Association, Dr. Casey Dawkins at the University of Maryland, College Park, is conducting a survey of the APA membership to ascertain which skills learned in graduate school are most highly valued by planners and their employers.  We anticipate that the survey will yield useful information for planning educators seeking to tailor their programs to the evolving needs of the workplace.  The survey was recently distributed via APA’s e-newsletter “Interact.”
We are writing to request your assistance in notifying APA members within your state about the survey and encouraging your membership to take a few moments to respond.  As an added incentive, all respondents will be placed into a random lottery to win a free iPad. We have extended the deadline for participation to August 15 to allow those who have not yet responded a chance to complete the survey.  To access the survey, click on the following link:
If you have any questions about the survey, Dr. Dawkins can be reached via email at dawkins1 at umd.edu.
