[ApaIllinois] APA's Mentor Match Program at the 2013 APA National Conference

The American Planning Association is still seeking mentors for the new 2013 Mentor Match program at the 2013 APA National Conference. APA has received over 120 requests for mentors and are hoping to accommodate as many matches as possible. APA is making matches based on three different types of mentoring, so you can select an option that you are most comfortable with, or select all of them. First time attendee mentor. Guidance could include: selecting sessions, navigating the conference site, meeting other members, etc.City of Chicago mentor. Guidance could include: touring the city, restaurant suggestions, etc.Career mentor. Guidance could include: professional development, job hunting, understanding different career paths for planners, etc. If you haven’t signed up already, the APA-IL encourages you to consider it – and to encourage your colleagues to do the same.
