The APA-IL YPG is excited to be able to show the first screening of The Human Scale in Illinois. The Human Scale is a documentary on planning for the world's rising urban population. Directed by Danish filmmaker Andreas M. Dalsgaard, the documentary focuses on the increasing challenges of planning for the world's expanding urban centers. The film focuses on the human element of the built environment, and it presents some recent projects and the design philosophy of Jan Gehl, Danish urban designer responsible for (among many projects) transforming Times Square and portions of Broadway in NYC into a place for people.
