Is Your State Resilient? Planning for Climate Change
Join the National Collaborative of State Planners on Friday, April 11 for a free webinar: Is Your State Resilient? Planning for Climate Change. Planetary changes are occurring in measurable ways, from rising sea levels to floods to drought. How can communities safeguard human health and the physical environment in the face of nature's response to warming temperatures? This webinar focuses on plans, policies and laws that address the impacts of climate change on the state level. Webinar presenters include Michael McCormick, senior planner and adviser, California Governor's Office of Planning and Research, Zoë Johnson, program manager for climate change planning and policy with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and Julie Dennis, community program manager, Florida Department of Economic Opportunity's Division of Community Development, sharing their work on how forward-thinking state policies can alleviate the impacts of climate change. 1 p.m.
EDT Friday, April 11. AICP continuing education credits pending.
