Why bikesharing, why now

In Chicago, Divvy has put pedal power within reach from Hyde Park to Rogers Park. But the push toward bikesharing is more than a Windy City phenomenon. It hits the sweet spot of two national trends. More than half of Millennials and Active Boomers think their community needs more alternatives to driving, according to a new APA poll<http://www.planning.org/policy/polls/investing/>. Even more said those alternatives help decide where they live and work. Add it all up, and the signs point to bikeshare as a big plus for communities in the Midwest and beyond.
