Happy New Year to everyone.

 

Thank you for allowing me to serve you as the Chapter President for the
last 4 years.  I hope that I represented you well.

 

It was a very good 4 years and I would recommend that everyone get
involved in the Chapter.  It is a very good way to make friends and
professional contacts.

 

We will have some challenges as we get used to CM.  The hours for the
fall meeting are still listed with AICP as pending.  They haven't
contacted anyone with questions about them though so we are hoping that
they will be approved shortly.  Keith will send out a message when they
are approved.  It looks like there will be between 12 and 18 hours
available at the APA/NPZA conference in Grand Island on the Feb 20 to
22.  We will apply for credit for 3 of the 4 institutes on Wednesday and
at least 1 breakout session during the concurrent sessions on Thursday
and Friday.  We will let you know which sessions we are applying for and
then which sessions get approved.

 

I think that Keith will do a great job as president.  You will see some
changes in the Chapter with the new slate of officers.  APA national has
been working on a branding program.  You may have noticed the new look
in Planning Magazine and in things you get in the mail from them.  The
Chapters have to follow along so you will see a new logo for the NE
chapter shortly that is consistent with APA National. (Don't blame Keith
for it, APA has been working on it for several years).
