Do you know a high school student that is interested in planning?  APA
is hosting it's second annual High School Essay Contest.  Get the word
out to your kids, grand kids or kids of co-workers and friends.

Everyone should have received a postcard about the annual meeting and
training coming up on the 26th.  Remember I need registrations by next
Friday the 19th.  You can pay at the door or send a check after the
event if you can't get one cut in time.  The registration form is
available at http://www.planningnebraska.org/education.htm

 

Hastings was recognized by the National League of Cities for some
intergenerational planning/information gathering they are conducting
with their Imagine Hastings comprehensive plan update.  There will be a
story on the project in the next PlanningNebraska newsletter.

 

I submitted a proposal on planning commissioner training in Nebraska for
the national conference in Las Vegas.  The session was accepted with
some modifications so I hope to be presenting next Spring.
