To the Nebraska Wellhead Protection Network (NE WHPN):
You are cordially invited to attend the APA Institute - Source Water
Protection: Planning to Protect Your Water Supply on February 20, 2008
at the Grand Island Holiday Inn Midtown. Attached is a complete event
agenda.
The fact is - local decision makers, land use planners, and planning
commissioners can have a huge impact on the relative importance and
value of source water protection in a community. This day-long event
features both national and Nebraska speakers who will focus on how local
land use decisions have a direct impact on the quality of local drinking
water supplies. The session is part of the APA Institutes, which are
being held immediately prior to the Nebraska Planning and Zoning
Association Annual Conference. For complete information about the
conference, visit the NPZA website at www.npza.org
<http://www.npza.org/> .
Registration reimbursements are available. Use the registration form
featured on the NPZA website (www.npza.org) to register for APA
Institute Four and pay the $70 registration fee on your own. To be
reimbursed for this fee, simply fill out the attached reimbursement form
and submit it to The Groundwater Foundation after the event. On the
form please document any other expenses that you incurred to make your
participation in this event possible, such as hotel, mileage, etc. The
total of all participant expenses will be noted in grant reports as
match to the total funds reimbursed. Reimbursements will be distributed
on a first-come, first-served basis to those who attended the entire
event and submitted a complete reimbursement form (i.e., one that
documents match). Thanks go to the Nebraska Department of Environmental
Quality Source Water Protection Grant program which has provided support
for this event.
If you have any questions about APA Institute Four, please contact me at
