Hello everyone

 

First, I want to apologize for not sending out an email sooner. Secondly,
thank you to everyone for supporting me on the ballot; even as an unopposed
candidate, I still appreciate the votes. I am looking forward to working
with everyone during the next two years. I want to take a few lines to
update everyone on some new information.

*	Congratulations to Alden Aust for being selected into the College of
Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners. The induction
ceremony will take place on the evening on Sunday, April 27 in Las Vegas. 

 

*	The Nebraska Chapter has been approached to potentially hold a joint
(semi-regional) conference with Iowa and possibly South Dakota in October in
Sioux City. The Executive Board is looking at this option as a real
possibility. A regional/shared conference will allow the Chapter another
opportunity to offer CM credits to the AICP members at a reduced cost since
the cost can be shared 2 or 3 ways. 

 

*	The Executive Board will be discussing the possibility of holding a
Spring meeting to meet with members to discuss the future direction of the
Chapter and where the membership would like to see it go.

 

*	APA has implemented a new Branding requirement for Chapters and with
that situation, the Chapter is in the process of updating the website and
the look. 

 

*	If anyone knows of any future CM opportunities please let Derek
Miller, Vice-President (Professional Development Officer) know.  

 

*	Please let me know if you are going to Las Vegas for the conference.
A number of us have discussed getting members from Nebraska together for ab
informal supper one evening, tentatively it looks like the evening of April
30

 

*	Finally, attached is an electronic postcard.. On the postcard are
sessions that include topics and speakers from our Chapter. If any of these
fit into your schedule, please support our Chapter members.
