This week, APA is mailing to all chapter presidents and division chairs
a very special package of information, just in time for the holidays!
This package contains CDs with the new APA Brand Guidelines and all the
custom digital art for each chapter or division. 

As we go about marketing planning to citizens and elected officials,
they need to know who it is that's doing the talking: that's APA. Our
new brand makes it very clear that APA and all its chapters and
divisions are part of one national planning organization, with a very
strong and clear identity.

The guidelines are the "cookbook" for using the new identity of APA and
all its components, and has all the information necessary to express
APA's identity visually. 

Many chapters have already picked a color for their logo, and started
using the new brand identity, and some divisions are using their new
logos too. APA staff is making sure to get into every Chapter
President's and Division Chair's hands a complete set of the logos and
graphics, and the instructions for using them.

The Brand Guidelines, and more information about the branding project,
are also on the web at www.planning.org/leadership.  

Please let staff know if you've got any questions about this exciting
project. I am proud of the direction we're headed with this, and look
forward to your continued support to make it a success.

Our very capable staff will continue to work closely with individual
Chapter and Division leaders, newsletter editors, webmasters and others
to make this transition as smooth as possible.
