AICP has adopted the following policy:

Request for Proposals - Consultant Services
> Regional Parking Strategy
> Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia
> Submittal Deadline: August 3, 2006
> Halifax Regional Municipality is seeking a consultant to develop a Regional Parking Strategy which will be a component of the Transportation Master Plan and the TDM Strategy. The strategy will balance the needs of business, tourism, residential and all other uses throughout HRM. It will also use the principles of Transportation Demand Management to encourage and promote the use of alternative modes of transportation within HRM. The strategy will include all areas of the municipality (population 360,000) including suburban and rural communities.
