Old York Road Commercial Corridor Improvement Plan
Abington Township, Pennsylvania
Submittal Deadline: October 31, 2006
Abington Township herewith requests proposals to undertake professional
planning studies of The Old York Road Commercial Corridor (AKA SR 611)
between the intersections of Moreland Road on the northern end and Rydal
Road on the southern end. The purpose of the study is to develop a
comprehensive planning document which will provide appropriate
guidelines for improvement and revitalization of public and private
property within the boundary of the corridor.
A voluntary PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING will be held Thursday, October 12, 2006
at 10:00 a.m.., in the Abington Township Board Room to discuss the
project details and requirements. The project may be federally funded
under the Community Development block Grant Program, and the successful
bidder will comply with all applicable Federal guidelines.
Sealed proposals marked "OLD YORK ROAD CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENT PLAN," will
be received at the Township Administration Building, 1176 Old York Road,
Abington, PA, until 12:00 Noon, on or before Tuesday, October 31, 2006
and will be opened publicly in the Township Board Room immediately
thereafter.
The project and proposal are subject to the requirements and
specifications contained in the RFP, which may be examined at the office
of the Assistant Township Manager, 1176 Old York Road, Abington, PA
19001. Copies of the request for proposal may be obtained for the
reproduction and handling cost of $5.00. Requests received by mail will
be $7.50. All checks shall be made payable to the Township of Abington.
Questions regarding the proposal may be directed to the Assistant
Township Manager at 267-536-1002.
The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals. No bidder may
withdraw the proposal within sixty (60) days after the actual date of
proposal opening.
