Affordable Housing Consulting Services
Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, Florida
Submittal Deadline: October 31, 2006

Pre Bid Proposal Conference: October 17, 2006, at 10:00 AM., to be held
in the Hillsborough County Center, 18th Floor Planning Commission Board
Room, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, FL 33602 (Attendance by prospective
respondents at the pre-bid proposal conference is not required)

Procurement Submittal Deadline: October 31, 2006, at 2:00 P.M.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Hillsborough County Board of County
Commissioners is seeking proposals from qualified professional
consulting firms for the preparation of a comprehensive, countywide
Affordable Housing Assessment report. This assessment will include an
evaluation of Hillsborough County's regulatory environment (i.e.,
development processes, ordinances, policies, and plans) and will
recommend modifications to make it more conducive to affordable housing.

BACKGROUND
The decision to seek proposals was based on recommendations by the
Affordable Housing Steering Committee which presented a report
addressing impediments to affordable housing to the Board of County
Commissioners on May 17, 2006.  A link to this report is in the RFP.
