Request for Qualifications - Consultant Services 

Pedestrian and Bicyclist Districts Conceptual Plan and Project
Houston-Galveston Area Council, Texas
Submittal Deadline: December 1, 2006

H-GAC is seeking consulting services to develop a conceptual plan for a
project consisting of comprehensive pedestrian and bicyclist
improvements in the city of Sugar Land. The Consultant (team) will work
with the local community and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive
plan of pedestrian-bicyclist improvements, and calculate the congestion
mitigation, air quality, and safety benefits of implementing the
project(s).  The H-GAC will pursue local sponsorship and the programming
of the pilot project in its Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

Request for Proposal packages may be obtained by contacting Dan Raine
AICP, Pedestrian-Bicyclist Coordinator, Houston-Galveston Area Council,
P.O. Box 22777, Houston, TX 77227-2777, by calling 713-627-3200, or by
fax 713-993-4508.  All questions regarding the RFP must be made in
writing.

A pre-proposal meeting will be held on November 6, 2006, from 2:00-3:00
p.m. at the Houston-Galveston Area Council 2nd Floor Conference Room A.

Eight (8) typewritten, bound/stapled and signed copies are required.
Late submittals will NOT be accepted. All submittals must be received no
later than Friday, December 1, 2006 at 4:30 pm.
