Request for Proposals - Consultant Services
Groundwater Study
Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation, Oakville, Washington
Submittal Deadline: May 14, 2007
Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation invites submission of
qualification-based proposals from firms, individuals, or groups of
firms or individuals, licensed to do business in the State of
Washington, who are qualified to conduct a Groundwater Study on a
contracted basis.
Work will be performed under contract with the Chehalis Tribe Planning
Department and the Indian Health Services.
The Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Indian Reservation are seeking
qualified contractors to perform a study on the groundwater aquifer that
serves as the Tribes' community water supply. The community's water
source is threatened by a plume of nitrate pollution. In July 2006 the
Tribes reported the nitrate level in their supply wells reached 8 mg/l.
It is uncertain if these existing wells will be able to continue to
serve the community. The Tribes wish to hire a qualified contractor to
analyze the future impacts of nitrate pollution on the wells. If this
analysis shows that the wells cannot be relied upon as the community's
water supply, the Tribes also wish to evaluate alternatives for securing
a new source. The Tribes request interested contractors to submit
Statements of Qualification for consideration. This project is located
on the Chehalis Indian Reservation near Oakville, Washington.
Responses should clearly and briefly demonstrate qualifications to
perform the required services including education, certifications and/or
licenses, and experience related to the proposed services.
A copy of the full RFQ, please contact Lennea Magnus at
lmagnus at chehalistribe.org <mailto:lmagnus at chehalistribe.org> . Responses
are due by May 14, 2007.
