Design Guidelines/Pattern Book
The Village of Winnetka, Illinois
Submittal Deadline: May 17, 2007
The Village of Winnetka, Illinois is seeking proposals from
architecture, planning and design firms for services leading to the
development of Design Guidelines and an Architectural Pattern Book for
replacement single family homes within established neighborhoods. The
resulting document is anticipated to provide guidance on assessing
neighborhood character and responding to neighborhood context through
appropriate massing, siting, building materials, architectural
detailing, landscaping and related techniques. The successful
respondent should demonstrate proficiency with conducting community
meetings such as design charettes or visual preference surveys to
develop a community backed consensus for appropriate design.
The deadline for response to this RFP is Thursday, May 17, 2007, at 4:00
pm.
