Request for Proposals - Consultant Services

Wayne County Comprehensive Plan
Wayne County, Pennsylvania
Submittal Deadline: June 27, 2007

Wayne County, Pennsylvania is issuing a Request for Proposals from
planning consultants to provide services to assist in the update of the
Wayne County Comprehensive Plan.  The purpose of the project is to
update the existing comprehensive plan for Wayne County which was
adopted in 1994. The project must meet the requirements of the
Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act 247, as amended).

Proposals from qualified consultants experienced in preparing
comprehensive plans under Article III of Act 247 are welcome. Tasks in
the writing and preparation of the comprehensive plan will include the
collection of data, analysis of data, identification of existing public
issues, development of a public participation process and the
development of short and long range plans. A 24-month completion
schedule is expected to complete the project which includes the final
adoption by the Wayne County Commissioners.

Copies of the RFP can be obtained at the Wayne County Department of
Planning, Third Floor, Wayne County Courthouse, 925 Court Street,
Honesdale, PA 18431 - 570-253-5970 x 4060.

Interested consultants are requested to provide contact nformation in
the event that additional information is made available relating to the
RFP Proposals must be labeled, "WAYNE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE -
PROPOSAL" and must be delivered to the Wayne County Department of
Planning Office no later than 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Each
set of proposals must include 20 copies.
