Request for Proposals - Consultant Services

Comprehensive Plan Update
The City of Murphy, Texas
Submittal Deadline:  February, 23 2007

Introduction
The City of Murphy, Texas is soliciting proposals for professional
planning services for a major update of the City's Comprehensive Plan.
The Comprehensive Plan will include but may not be limited to the
following Project Tasks.

*	Overall and Existing Information Review
*	Data Collection and Analysis
*	Citizen Participation
*	Goals and Objectives
*	Future Land Use Plan
*	Thoroughfare Plan
*	Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan
*	Economic Development and Redevelopment
*	Community Facilities and Services
*	Implementation

 Murphy's most recent comprehensive plan was partially prepared in 2001
but never completed. A Future Land Use Plan Map was prepared and
adopted in 2002 to help guide development decisions. Murphy needs an
updated, unified set of planning documents that addresses the City as a
whole and that takes into account the policies that are still applicable
with the adoption of the 2002 Future Land Use Plan.
