Request for Qualifications - Consultant Services  


Architectural and Engineering Services 
The City of Miami, Florida 
Submission Deadline: February 27, 2007

RFQ NO: 05-06-119

The City is seeking to procure an integrated package of services
including, but not limited to complete planning and design services,
programming, surveying, geotechnical, feasibility studies, options
evaluations, public meetings, irrigation, lighting, electrical,
landscaping, parking analysis, detailed facility assessments, cost
estimates, opinions of probable construction cost, preparation of bid
and construction documents, review of work prepared by Sub-consultants
and other consultants, field investigations and observations,
construction contract administration,  as-built documentation and other
related architectural and engineering services as needed to complete the
Projects.

The firm selected to provide these comprehensive services will be
responsible for all design work related to the conversion of
Bicentennial Park to Museum Park Miami, the development of a Downtown
Baywalk and other Waterfront District Improvement Projects as needed.

All Responses shall be submitted in accordance with the Request for
Qualifications document (RFQ), which may be obtained on or after the
issue date, January 29, 2007, from the City of Miami. Please request the
RFQ by mail or e-mail: Department of Capital Improvements &

specific information regarding the two projects currently contemplated
as the Waterfront District Projects, the services the City is seeking,
the Response requirements and the selection procedures.  The cost of the
RFQ document is $50 per copy, and requests for the RFQ must be
accompanied by an official bank check, cashier's check or money order.
An official copy of the RFQ must be purchased in order to register as a
potential respondent. An unofficial copy of the RFQ and other
information about the process may be viewed by visiting the City's CIT

The City will conduct a Pre-Response Conference on Friday, February 9,
2007, at 9:00am at the American Airlines Arena, HGU Room (located under
Bongos), park in P2.  While attendance at the Pre-Response Conference is
not a condition for participation in the process, all prospective firms
are encouraged to attend.  The Pre-Response Conference is intended to
provide opportunities to review the contents and requirements of the
RFQ, to answer questions, and for prospective parties to network toward
forming teams.  The City will conduct an on-site inspection tour of
Bicentennial Park on the same day as the Pre-Response Conference.

Completed Responses must be delivered to the Office of the City Clerk,
City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133 by 10:00 a.m.,
Tuesday, February 27, 2007 and will be publicly opened on that day.

The City of Miami reserves the right to accept any Responses deemed to
be in the best interest of the City, to waive any irregularities in any
Responses, or to reject any or all Responses and to re-advertise for new
Responses, in accordance with the applicable sections of the City
Charter and Code.

THIS REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS IS SUBJECT TO THE "CONE OF SILENCE" IN
ACCORDANCE WITH section 18-74 of the city code.
