Take Me to the River" Implementation Projects
The Manhattan Borough President's Office, New York 
Submittal Deadline: September 14, 2007

The Manhattan Borough President's Office ("MBPO"), in partnership with
the West Harlem Art Fund, seeks the services of a consultant team with
an interdisciplinary capacity to implement several projects identified
in the Take Me to the River Concept Plan completed in 2005. This Request
for Proposals ("RFP") is issued for the purpose of soliciting proposals
from interested and qualified professional urban planning consultants
for services necessary to provide a community-based neighborhood
improvement plan with recommendations and a funding strategy for
enhancing streetscapes, improving waterfront and park access, and
promoting cultural assets in West Harlem and southern Washington
Heights. Partially within Manhattan Community District 9 and partially
within Manhattan Community District 12, the project area includes the
Broadway corridor from 135th to 157th Streets and extends west to the
Hudson River. This project is funded by the NYS Department of State
Division of Coastal Resources (DCR) with funds provided under Title 11
of the Environmental Protection Fund.

Interested professionals may obtain a copy of the RFP for such services
at MBPO at 1 Centre Street, 19th Floor - South Entrance, New York, NY,
during normal business hour beginning July 2, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. or via
www.manhattanbp.org <http://www.manhattanbp.org> . The RFP contains a
detailed description of the eligibility requirements and the required
services.

All proposals, if submitted via e-mail, must be in a PDF format or can
be hand delivered to MBPO at 1 Centre Street, 19th Floor, New York, NY,
by Friday, September 14, 2007. All communications and inquires regarding
