Request for Proposals - Consultant Services
General Planning Consultant
The Hinesville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, Hinesville,
Georgia
Submittal Deadline: March 30, 2007
The Liberty Consolidated Planning Commission (LCPC) and the Hinesville
Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (HAMPO) propose to select a
general planning consultant to assist the LCPC staff in carrying out
selected tasks outlined in the HAMPO Unified Planning work Program
(UPWP).
Overview
The work performed by the consultant could include an analysis and
recommendations in such diverse areas as: traffic safety and access
management; inter-modal transportation, including pedestrian, bicycle
and mass transportation; specific ways to integrate transportation and
existing and future land use into the fabric of the area; specific
sector or sub-area transportation studies and analysis; and other tasks
that might be assigned. The contract is expected to be for a period of
three (3) years beginning on July 1, 2007, with the ability to extend
for an additional year. All work will be based on task work orders that
include an approved scope and fee. The selected consultant must be
prepared to begin work on any assigned task within five (5) days of a
notice to proceed. It is expected that frequent progress meetings will
be held with the consultant staff to review the progress of each task
assigned, and the selected consultant will work as an extension of the
staff of the LCPC to accomplish assigned tasks.
Submittal Requirements
Any consultant or team interested in responding to this request should
contact the Liberty Consolidated Planning Commission for a complete
response package prior to March 15, 2007. All responses to this request
for qualifications must be received in the offices of the Liberty
Consolidated Planning Commission at 205 East Court Street, Hinesville,
GA 31313 by 5:00 PM Eastern Time, March 30, 2007. You may write, call
