Request for Qualifications - Consultant Services
Revision of Zoning Ordinance, and Subdivision Regulations
The Town of Dryden, New York
Submittal Deadline: April 10, 2007
RFQ #1-07
The Town of Dryden's Planning Department is requesting initial proposals
and qualifications from firms for revisions to the Town of Dryden's
Zoning Ordinance, and Subdivision Regulations following the adoption of
the 2005 Comprehensive Plan (http://www.dryden.ny.us/
<http://www.dryden.ny.us/> ). While many of the desired revisions are
outlined in the Town's Comprehensive Plan, this project represents the
beginning of a comprehensive revision of the Town's existing Zoning
Ordinance with a possible emphasis for substantial revisions to the
Subdivision Regulations to allow for cluster type subdivisions.
Revisions beyond those outlined in the Comprehensive Plan are expected
and will be identified by staff, the Town, Planning and Conservation
Boards and through public input as part of this project.
Send 12 copies of qualification packages plainly marked RFQ #1-07,
"Professional Services for Revision of Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision
Regulations" on the outside of the mailing envelope, to the Town Clerk,
65 East Main Street, Dryden, NY 13053. Submissions shall not exceed 10
pages and will be accepted until April 10, 2007. Interviews will be
scheduled following review of written submissions, and a decision made
by June 2007.
Please provide references with the qualification package, as well as a
general proposal, or proposed process for implementing the
recommendations found in the town's Comprehensive Plan. Please attach
resumes of only the principal manager of the project, but feel free to
list the types of technical depth your staff may offer (Landscape Arch.,
GIS, etc.).
The Town of Dryden reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to
waive technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any proposal that
it may deem to be in the best interest to the Town. Final proposals and
scope of work will be further developed when and if a contract is
awarded.
If you have any questions please contact the Town Environmental Planner
at 607-844-5607.
