"Vision 2040" Regional and Comprehensive Plan Project

Overview
The City of Las Cruces (City), in cooperation with Doña Ana County (County), is soliciting proposals from planning firms for the development of a regional plan (Vision 2040) for Doña Ana County and its municipalities, as well as updates to the comprehensive plans for the City and unincorporated areas of the County, which will be based on the results and recommendations of Vision 2040.
Proposers must demonstrate that they have professional experience and technical expertise in the following areas: regional planning in growth areas (preferably in the western US), comprehensive planning (including implementation), future land use modeling and build out analysis, integrating land use and transportation planning, smart growth, economic development, intergovernmental cooperation in planning, and effective public involvement. The project must be completed by Fall 2009, and has a budget of $400,000.
