Community Plan Revision
The City of Aspen, Colorado
Submittal Deadline: December 14, 2007

The City of Aspen, Colorado, invites statements of qualifications for
planning services from qualified individuals or firms for the public
process for the following project: Design and co-implementation with the
City of Aspen and Pitkin County of a transparent and inclusive public
process for a joint City/County revision of the Aspen Area Community
Plan.

Evaluation of responding firms will be based on the following criteria:

*	Description of firm(s) and experience of working together as a
team, if applicable. 
*	Recent experience on similar projects for small- to mid-sized
municipalities and/or counties and how those similarities might relate
to this project.  Provide names and telephone numbers of persons
representing the city and/or county for each. 
*	Experience with innovative public process strategies.  Please
describe and/or provide materials that describe this innovative public
process. 

Please furnish five copies of your submittal to Ben Gagnon, Community
Development, City of Aspen, 130 S. Galena, Aspen,  Colorado 81611 by
9:00am,  December 14, 2007. 

 City and County planning staff will review submissions and determine
the type of public process best suited to the revision of the Aspen Area
Community Plan.  Subsequent to this exercise, the City and County will
generally advertise a Request for Proposals (RFP), and will at that time
also specifically notify each party who submitted an RFQ of the
invitation for an RFP.
