Request for Proposals - Consultant Services

PlanCheyenne Implementation
The City of Cheyenne and Laramie County, Wyoming
Submittal Deadline: December 20, 2007

In November of 2006, the City of Cheyenne and Laramie County adopted
PlanCheyenne, the comprehensive plan for the Cheyenne Urban Area. The
plan incorporates a variety of recommended implementation strategies and
the City is calling for proposals from qualified consultants to bring
the vision to reality. Following the successful methodology of
PlanCheyenne in integrating diverse planning disciplines, the City is
approaching implementation of the plan in a similar comprehensive
fashion. To fully implement the regulatory recommendations of the plan
and make our codes consistent, the City is pursuing a Unified
Development Code.

It is expected that this document will integrate the current zoning
code, subdivision regulations, road standards, and other development
regulations into one unified document. The project is built on the
premise of creating a development environment that is clear,
streamlined, and improved. Through these measures, a balance of
incentives and new regulations can be provided through a bundled
package, resulting in a successful strategy for efficient adoption and
implementation.
