Request for Proposals - Consultant Services

Strategic Plan for Park Street Business District
City of Alameda, California
Submission Deadline: November 6, 2007 

Brief Description
The City of Alameda is requesting proposals from consultants to provide
strategic urban design and planning services for a sub-area within its
Park Street commercial district north of Lincoln Avenue and south of the
Oakland/Alameda estuary, traditionally known as "Auto Row." The purpose
of the Strategic Plan will be to: 

*	Identify the type of development in the Study Area that will be
marketable, support economic development, enhance the urban environment,
and receive community support; 
*	Recommend strategies for redeveloping the Study Area, including
a broad land use vision and urban design/streetscape principles; and 
*	Outline major steps and priority actions necessary to achieve
the recommended strategies.
