Request for Proposals - Consultant Services

RAIL Imperial County Aerial Photography/Imagery
Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG)
Submittal Deadline: November 26, 2007

RFP Number: 08-029

ABOUT SCAG
Over the past four decades, the Southern California Association of
Governments (SCAG) has evolved as the largest of nearly 700 councils of
government in the United States, functioning as the Metropolitan
Planning Organization (MPO) for six counties: Los Angeles, Orange, San
Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura and Imperial.

As the designated MPO, SCAG is mandated by the federal government to
research and put together plans for transportation, growth management,
hazardous waste management, and air quality.

SCAG relies heavily on outside consultants and vendors to help
accomplish the overall mission and objectives of SCAG. We are always
striving to increase the breadth and depth of talent in our pool of
potential consultants and vendors, and are especially interested in
bringing more certified DBEs into the database.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
In the year 2006, the Southern California Association of Governments
developed a land use coverage for the region for use in various planning
projects and applications. Moreover, the Imperial Valley Association of
Governments (IVAG), the Imperial County Assessor's Office and the
Department of Public Works in Imperial County are in need of up-to-date,
high resolution and spatially accurate aerial images to support their
day-to-day operations.
