The AICP Commission requests that entities soliciting planning

Comprehensive Plan Update
The Town of Irondequoit, New York
Submittal Deadline: January 25, 2008
The Town of Irondequoit, New York invites professional planning firms to
submit proposals to prepare a comprehensive update of the Town's 1985
Master Plan.
Irondequoit is a suburb of Rochester with a population of 52,000. The
Town is 98% built-out and is bordered on three sides by major bodies of
water: Lake Ontario, Irondequoit Bay, and the Genesee River.
The overall objectives of an updated Master Plan are to provide
development/redevelopment strategies to increase the Town's tax base, as
well as recommendations to maintain the high quality of the Town's
residential neighborhoods and enhance its outstanding environmental
assets.
Irondequoit's comprehensive Master Plan update will include:
* An update of the Town's 1998 Parks and Recreation Master Plan
* An East Ridge Road Corridor Plan, an intensive study of the
Town's major commercial thoroughfare
* A Waterfront Revitalization Plan
