AICP has adopted the following policy:
The AICP Commission requests that entities soliciting planning
consultants follow a two-part RFQ/RFP selection procedure. Click here to

Sign Regulation Update
The City of Mesquite, Nevada
Submittal Deadline: October 5, 2007
The City of Mesquite is seeking qualified firms who have the expertise
in developing sign regulations that reflect state and federal laws,
Supreme Court decisions, and community standards. The successful firm
should have experience with the legal aspects of sign ordinances as they
pertain to commercial and non-commercial speech, especially political
speech. The firm should be familiar with and able to draft a sign code
that is easily understood and applied by City staff, elected officials,
business persons, and citizens. Furthermore, the successful firm should
have an understanding of the political nature of sign regulations and
experience working with citizens, community groups, municipal staff, and
elected bodies.
Sealed proposals must be received no later than 4:00 p.m., October 5,
2007.
