Request for Proposals - Consultant Services
Cities of Port Hueneme/Oxnard Truck Traffic Study
Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG)
Submittal Deadline: September 27, 2007
RFP Number: 08-018
ABOUT SCAG
Over the past four decades, the Southern California Association of
Governments (SCAG) has evolved as the largest of nearly 700 councils of
government in the United States, functioning as the Metropolitan
Planning Organization (MPO) for six counties: Los Angeles, Orange, San
Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura and Imperial.
As the designated MPO, SCAG is mandated by the federal government to
research and put together plans for transportation, growth management,
hazardous waste management, and air quality.
SCAG relies heavily on outside consultants and vendors to help
accomplish the overall mission and objectives of SCAG. We are always
striving to increase the breadth and depth of talent in our pool of
potential consultants and vendors, and are especially interested in
bringing more certified DBEs into the database.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
SCAG is seeking a qualified consultant to prepare a study of preferred
truck routes in and around the City of Port Heuneme and the City of
Oxnard. The main objectives of the study include analyzing existing
conditions and identifying preferred corridors for goods movement,
examining impacts associated with truck traffic in residential area and
on the existing road systems.
