The AICP Commission requests that entities soliciting planning

Downtown Maricopa Development Plan
The City of Maricopa, Arizona 
Submittal Deadline: October 5, 2007

Incorporated in October of 2003, the City of Maricopa, Arizona is a
rapidly growing municipality seeking the services of a planning and
development consultant to create a Downtown Development Plan and
Implementation Strategy for the City of Maricopa. A Downtown Development
Plan is intended to stimulate development by selecting the most
qualified consultant to assist the City in establishing an achievable
vision for the area while spurring economic growth and retaining and
enhancing the community atmosphere in Maricopa.

The plan should guide the growth and development of Maricopa's downtown
for the next 20 years, creating a cultural, entertainment, and business
hub for the City through the creation of key planning and economic
development tools and strategies.
