Shared Transportation Services Study
The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), Columbus, Ohio
Submittal Deadline: October 19, 2007

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) is requesting
proposals from firms to provide professional services for the Franklin
County Schools Transportation Consolidation Study.

Ohio law requires public-school districts to provide transportation to
students within their boundaries who attend private and other
non-district schools. Currently, each school district uses its own
equipment or contracts with private companies for this transportation.
To conserve resources districts around the country have established
agreements to share student transportation services.  This study will
examine the feasibility of shared services in Franklin County.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) outlines the information necessary to
understand the desired scope of work, consultant selection process, and
the required documentation in submitting a proposal for this project.
Prospective proposers may find the companion report and its Appendix,
entitled Report on Shared Transportation Services (dated March 14, 2007)
helpful.  This RFP and companion report is available by contacting the
