The UC Davis Bikeway and Transit Network planning study will evaluate
the bicycle facilities and transit network serving the UC Davis campus.
The study will identify needed improvements to the bicycle paths, lanes
and the transit network on campus to accommodate future campus growth.
The study will focus on the bicycle and transit connections throughout
campus and will include circulation issues between a large new
residential development planned west of State Highway 113 (West Village)
and the Central Campus east of State Highway 113. The study will also
address pedestrian accessibility at transit stops. Design guidelines
for the on-street and off-street bicycle facilities on campus will also

conducting much of the background work, developing the plans, and
providing technical expertise in the area of bikeway and transit network
planning. The University staff are expected to play a large role in
gathering background materials, developing project objectives, and
coordinating public workshops. The University intends to select a
consultant pursuant to the descriptions provided in the Request for
Information/Qualifications and, once selected, determine with the
assistance of the consultant the exact roles and responsibilities for
each of the study tasks.
It is anticipated that the contract will extend from fall 2007 through
summer 2008. Submittal requirements and additional project information
