Mixed Use Development Projects
The City of Lake Charles, Louisiana
Submittal Deadline:  November 9, 2007

The City of Lake Charles, Louisiana is soliciting Statements of
Qualifications from firms interested in providing Master Developer
Services for high visibility mixed use projects along the City's
lakefront.

Lake Charles has recently adopted plans and ordinances supporting mixed
use, walkable development along the Lake Charles lakefront in the
downtown area. The city seeks development partners to implement the
community's vision.

The city has established a number of programs to support this
development, including the adoption of a Smart Code to guide
development; providing highly desirable lakefront land for long-term
lease for the right development; approving a robust public improvement
bond program and establishing a TIF district.

The City seeks responses from qualified development teams interested in
entering into a public/private partnership with the City of Lake
Charles. Development teams wishing to respond should demonstrate their
ability to plan, finance, construct and manage the development by
submitting a Statement of Qualifications to 326 Pujo Street, 10th Floor,
Lake Charles, Louisiana 70601 by November 9, 2007.
