 Development Ordinances Rewrite
The City of Irving, Texas 
Submittal Deadline: May 14, 2008

RFP Number: 140-08F

OBJECTIVE
The City of Irving, Texas invites land planners, urban designers,
multi-disciplinary firms and any other qualified professionals or teams
to submit a proposal to provide professional services for rewriting of
the City's land use regulations.  The work program involves a
comprehensive assessment and analysis of the city's existing development
ordinances (zoning, platting, landscaping, signage, etc) for the purpose
of recommending strategies for the restructuring and redrafting of those
ordinances to be responsive to the complex and dynamic needs of the
development community while supporting the City's ongoing mission of
promoting and sustaining quality in the built environment.  This
activity would then be followed by drafting of detailed regulations and
an accompanying implementation strategy to accomplish these objectives.
