Request for Proposals - Consultant Services

Update to the Aspen Area Community Plan
The City of Aspen, Colorado
Submittal Deadline: April 4, 2008

The City of Aspen and Pitkin County are seeking a consultant or
consultant team to aid in an update to the 2000 Aspen Area Community
Plan.  Interested parties are invited to submit an RFP for professional
services for the update to the Aspen Area Community Plan (AACP).  The
selected consultant or consultant group will be responsible for all
steps necessary to prepare the AACP document, including: assisting staff
with outreach and education on the existing conditions information
(being prepared now by a consultant team); engaging the public in a
series of small and large group meetings; preparation of text and
graphics; making presentations to the City and County Planning and
Zoning Commissions, City Council, and the Board of County Commissioners;
and producing a final document for adoption in the City and County.  The
City and County do not envision using a steering committee for this
update.
