Request for Qualifications - Consultant Services

Destination and Tourism Marketing Plan
The Marshall Texas Convention and Visitors Bureau
Submittal Deadline: January 31, 2008

The Marshall, Texas Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is soliciting qualifications from a qualified firm (s) to perform all or part of the following services in connection with a Destination and Tourism Marketing Plan which can be found at the following website: http://easttexastowns.com/siteMOL/pdf/MarshallPlanFinallr.pdf <http://easttexastowns.com/siteMOL/pdf/MarshallPlanFinallr.pdf> 

*	Graphic Design and Brand Development Services including preparation of a style guide, creation of marketing materials, website development and environmental graphics; 

*	Urban Planning Services to develop a plan including the creation of gathering places, performance venues, streetscapes, and façade enhancements; 

*	Wayfinding System Design including directional signs, gateway, information kiosks, pole banner and monument signs; 

*	Performing Arts Venue Analysis/Design including review of existing facilities and proposed new venues. 

In consultant selection the CVB will consider experience, qualifications, and technical competence in the types of work required; and, commitment to availability and scheduling of staff to meet project needs.

Consultant firms interested in being considered for one or more areas to be completed in connection this project should respond with 7 copies of the following: letter of interest, current resume of qualifications, direct response to each of the selection criteria defined above, and any other pertinent information that will assist the CVB in its decision. As a minimum the response should include the following information: (1) the understanding of and approach to the project (2) qualifications of the consultant and experience in this type of work including list of at least four (4) similar projects completed by the consultant team members, with names and phone numbers of contact persons for those projects, and (3) the key staff persons who will be assigned to this project together with their experience and qualifications. The CVB selection will be based on information submitted. However, additional information and/or interview may be required.

All submittals are to be received by Chairman, Convention and Visitors Bureau, P.O. Box 1806, Marshall, Texas 75671, no later than close of business, January 31, 2008.
