The AICP Commission requests that entities soliciting planning
consultants follow a two-part RFQ/RFP selection procedure. Here's the

Future Land Use Plan and Development Codes Update
The City of Shenandoah, Texas
Submittal Deadline: July 7, 2008
OBJECTIVE
The City of Shenandoah, Texas is seeking qualified professionals or
teams to submit a proposal to provide professional services for updating
the City's Future Land Use Plan and rewriting the City's land use
regulations. The work program involves a comprehensive assessment and
analysis of the city's existing Community Development Plan and
development ordinances (zoning, platting, landscaping, signage, etc.)
for the purpose of recommending strategies for the restructuring and
redrafting of the Future Land Use Map and those ordinances subsequently
drafting of the Future Land Use Map and detailed regulations and an
accompanying implementation strategy to accomplish these objectives to
be responsive to the complex and dynamic needs of the development
community while supporting the City's ongoing mission of promoting and
sustaining quality of the built environment.
