The AICP Commission requests that entities soliciting planning
consultants follow a two-part RFQ/RFP selection procedure.  Here's the

Regional Transit Assessment Toolkit
Charlottesville-Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO),
Virginia
Submittal Deadline: July 28, 2008
The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) is accepting
proposals from firms with expertise in regional and local public transit
planning and surveying to assist in the development of a Regional
Transit Assessment Toolkit. The Toolkit will be an essential component
of the process toward an enhanced regional transit system currently
underway in the Charlottesville-Albemarle Area.
The project will be administered by TJPDC in cooperation with
Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) committees, rural
transportation planning groups, and a multi-jurisdictional Transit
Technical Team, with major funding provided by the Federal Transit
Administration (FTA). A detailed request for proposals is available at
