Comprehensive Plan Carbondale 2025
The City of Carbondale, Illinois
Submittal Deadline: July 21, 2008
The City of Carbondale, Illinois is requesting statement of
qualification proposals from qualified consultants to provide
professional planning services associated with developing a new
comprehensive plan for the Carbondale community. The new comprehensive
plan will serve as a policy document and official plan guiding growth
and development of the community and its future growth area during the
next 15 years, through 2025.
Carbondale, Illinois with a population of 25,597 residents is located in
southern Illinois, 90 miles southeast of St. Louis, Missouri; 95 miles
west of Evansville, Indiana; and 65 miles northwest of Paducah,
Kentucky. Carbondale is the home to Southern Illinois University
Carbondale with an enrollment of approximately 21,000 students of which
18,000 are on-campus students.

Responses to the RFQ must be received by the Office of the
Purchasing/Risk Management Coordinator, City of Carbondale, 200 South
Illinois Avenue, Carbondale, IL 62901, on or before 4:00 p.m. on Monday,
July 21, 2008.
