The AICP Commission requests that entities soliciting planning

Request for Proposals - Consultant Services

Comprehensive Plan Update - Phase II
County of Powhatan, Virginia
Submittal Deadline: March 28, 2008

Powhatan County, Virginia is soliciting proposals from professional
planning consultants to complete the second phase of a full update of
the County's Comprehensive Plan.

Powhatan County recently completed Phase I consisting of data
collection, public comment solicitation, and the formation of several
citizen committees. The selected respondent must serve a multi-faceted
role as a process advisor, subject matter expert, and master
facilitator. The ability to work with the County's established
committees and to lead the refinement and completion of our review
process is an essential requirement. Demonstrable, proven successes in
leading comprehensive plan adoptions for highly-satisfied municipalities
are also critical to any competitive candidate.

Proposals will be received in the Department of Planning & Community
Development, 3834 Old Buckingham Road, Suite E, Powhatan, Virginia,
23139, until 4:00 P.M. Friday, March 28, 2008.
